Kuranda Army Duck with Butterflies & Lunch

Enjoy a full day adventure to Kuranda, including a visit to Rainforestation Nature Park and the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary.

Start your day with a trip on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, winding your way up the mountain through rainforest, past waterfalls and including a stop at the breathtaking Barron Gorge.

The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is the largest butterfly flight aviary and exhibit in Australia, home to over 2,000 magnificent tropical butterflies including the blue Ulysses and majestic green Cairns Birdwing. The sanctuary is an all-weather experience in the heart of beautiful Kuranda and offers guided tours through the aviary and breeding laboratory.

Enjoy a tour across land and water on the historic World War II Army Ducks at the award winning Rainforestation Nature Park. Learn about one of the world’s oldest rainforests whilst spotting flora and fauna in its natural habitat. Additionally, your tour also includes a BBQ Buffet lunch inspired by bush tucker flavours.

And then finish your day on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. The Skyrail experience offers a truly unique perspective of Australia’s World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest as you glide just metres above the pristine rainforest canopy before descending to explore the forest floor at the Red Peak and Barron Falls.
